1.  What is QFT?

QFT stands for Queen's Film Theatre, an art house cinema in Belfast, Northern Ireland .

2.  What sort of films does it show?

QFT shows the very best in new and classic world cinema.  QFT was the first cinema in Northern Ireland to install a digital projector, meaning that we can now screen state-of-the-art high definition digital films as well as standard celluloid films.

3.  How do I book tickets?

You can book tickets in one of three ways - through this website, in person at QFT or by telephone on 028 90971097 after 6pm.  For further information, please click here.

4.  Where is QFT located?

You will find us at 20 University Square, Belfast.  The QFT entrance faces the one-way street which runs alongside Queen's University.  A map of our location and parking information is available here.

5.  What are the opening hours of QFT?

QFT is open seven days a week, from 6pm until late.  We also offer matinee screenings at 2.30pm every Wednesday.

6.  How do I become a member of QFT?

Becoming a member of QFT offers a number of exclusive benefits including £2.50 off every film you see at QFT, the QFT Film Guide delivered to your door and an invitation to the QFT annual Members' Day every December.  For further information on how to become a QFT Member, please click here.

7.  Can I hire the QFT for business or leisure use?

8.  Are there workshop and training opportunities available?

Yes, QFT runs an Education and Outreach programme, including film talks and discussions, introduced screenings, workshops and short courses for all ages, as well as a comprehensive programme of screenings and workshops for primary and post-primary schools.  For further details, please click here.
