Inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale The Little Mermaid, Ponyo is a little goldfish who embarks on a quest to become human. An enchanting and visually stunning blend of imagination, humour, action, mystery and romance, Ponyo was the top film in Japan in 2008 and is the eighth highest grossing film in Japanese history.
