Competition closes on 30th July 2009. Winners will be drawn at random and will be contacted by telephone.

What better way to mark the 40th anniversary of the first moon landings than with what looks set to be a modern classic of the sci-fi genre.

The energy crisis is over. The future has brought many things including permanent Moon colonization and harvesting of a compound that creates enough energy to provide the Earth with all the energy it needs. Looking after this harvest is a lunar base engineer Sam (an outstanding Sam Rockwell),
alone except for his faithful computer companion, GERTY.

Moon, the first feature from Duncan Jones (David Bowie’s son) has more in common with the intelligent, mind bending sci-fi of the ‘70s and ‘80s (think Dark Star and Silent Running) than the FX extravaganzas we are so used to nowadays. Playing with modern and vintage sci-fi conventions Moon pays homage to these movies and confounds your expectations.
