GREEN SCREEN:THE LYNCH PIN - SUSAN LYNCH IN CONVERSATION
Northern Ireland Screen and QFT are pleased to present this special event to accompany our screening of Nora, curated by Richard Williams, CEO of Northern Ireland Screen. Following the screening, Richard will host an on-stage interview with Susan.
"Nominating Nora for an Irish film retrospective could be for a number of reasons - because Irish film should stand on the shoulders of Ireland's literature and Nora is in part the story of James Joyce; or because director Pat Murphy is one of only a very small number of fine female directors in a male dominated art form (she taught at Queen's for a while); but for me it is almost exclusively because of Susan Lynch's wonderful performance as Nora, with every expression she is a picture of strength and resilience - magnificent." Richard Williams
Susan was the recipient of the Irish Film & Televison Academy Award for Best Leading Actress for her role as Nora.
Please join us as we welcome Susan Lynch home to Northern Ireland. The man with the questions is Richard Williams.
Susan Lynch hails from Corrinshego, Newry, Co. Armagh.
