GREEN SCREEN: ME AND ME DAD + IN CONVERSATION WITH JOHN AND KATRINE BOORMAN

Official Selection Cannes International Film Festival 2012

QFT is delighted to present a screening of the new film by Katrine Boorman, followed by a conversation with Katrine and the film's subject, master filmmaker John Boorman.

Me and Me Dad is an intimately realised portrait of John Boorman by his daughter Katrine Boorman. Having never picked up a camera, Katrine spent four years following her father, who, during the process, can't resist taking over the proceedings and giving her a crash course in directing. What emerges is a uniquely personal, funny, revealing and ultimately moving portrait of a family with a distinctly creative talent at its centre. John Boorman, CBE, is a director, screen writer and producer. He trained as a film editor then directed documentaries for the BBC. His feature films include Point Blank (1967), Deliverance (1972), Zardoz(1974), Excalibur (1981), The Emerald Forest (1985), Hope and Glory(1987), The General (1998), The Tailor of Panama (2001) and The Tiger's Tale (2006).

To accompany this event QFT will be hosting a retrospective of John Boorman's work. Film Season: The Films of John Boorman (19-26 october )
